I'm not sure what the exact statistic is, but the fact is, America has a problem with obesity. I do know that if you sampled 10 random people, at least half would be considered overweight. The sad part is, if these people understood fitness, they’d realize it's really not all that difficult.
Is obesity that big of an issue? Yes, it is. Beside the obvious that it looks and feels uncomfortable, it’s bad for a person’s health. It causes a wide range of diseases including many that can be fatal.
Ok, so obesity is bad, but how do we solve the problem? Turning fat into fit can be accomplished in 3 simple steps.
Step #1 - Exercise
If you want to get in shape, you have to exercise. If you refuse to exercise, then you might as well stop reading this article. With all the physical fitness options, you should have no problem finding a form of exercise that you can stick with for the long term.
And you don’t necessarily need to belong to a gym or use weights to get good results. Some of the best workouts use the natural movement of bodyweight exercises.
Step #2 - Nutrition
You are what you eat. Sound familiar? Of course it does because it’s a well known phrase, and it’s well known because it’s true. Eat more protein and good fats and eat less carbs and sugar. It doesn’t have to be more complicated than this, and you’ll see and feel a big difference by following this general rule.
If you combine this with the foods you should eat and stay away from the foods you shouldn’t eat, you’ll be shocked at what happens to your body.
Step #3 - Supplements
Nutritional supplements are your secret weapon, but only if you take the right ones. The problem is, most are garbage, but how do you know which ones? Do your research and spend some time reading through health magazines. You’ll quickly develop an understanding of what supplements are worth your money
